Didem Yurdakul is a Tutor at the School of Psychology, University of Aberdeen. She holds a BSc and MRes in Psychology from the same institution and began her PhD in 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Eva Rubínová. Her research focuses on the use of confidence statements to enhance the evidential value of repeated event reports in memory studies.
- Internal Memberships: Member of the Applied Memory Lab, L1 Practical Tutor.
- External Memberships: Social chair for SARMAC's student caucus, Student Member of the American Psychology-Law Society, Student Member of the International Investigative Interviewing Research Group, Member of the European Association of Psychology and Law, Postgraduate Member of the Experimental Psychology Society.
Her research interests bridge cognitive psychology and legal applications, particularly in memory accuracy and confidence assessment. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary collaborations, including forensic science and investigative interviewing research groups.

- Alan Berkeley Milne Memorial Prize for the best undergraduate psychology thesis (2023).
- Experimental Psychology Society / British Science Association Undergraduate Project Prize (2024).
