Alessandra Caso is a Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Westminster, specializing in eyewitness memory and investigative interviewing. She holds a PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London, and completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at La Sapienza, University of Rome.

Her research focuses on eyewitness metamemory, confidence regulation, and the impact of interviewing techniques on information reporting. She has collaborated with the College of Policing, National Crime Agency, and British Academy-funded projects, including the development of a Self-Administered Interview for missing persons and improvements to Interpol’s Disaster Victim Identification forms.
Her recent publications examine virtual reality environments for interviewing, confidence-accuracy relationships, and systematic evidence mapping for police practices. She teaches cognitive and biological psychology applied to crime, forensic psychology, and supervises BSc dissertation projects.
She is affiliated with the Criminal Investigative and Forensic Research (CIFR) group and the Centre for Psychological Sciences at Westminster, engaging in practitioner workshops and applied research with Greater Manchester Police, Thames Valley Police, and Amnesty International.
