Kate Miller is a Lecturer in Psychology at the School of Psychology, University of Chester, where she serves as Level 5 Year Tutor. She teaches across multiple undergraduate forensic psychology modules and supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation students.
Her research focuses on investigative and forensic psychology with applied field data applications. Core interests include verbal behaviour analysis, memory retrieval patterns, cognitive processing during investigations, decision-making in interrogative contexts, information control mechanisms, and deception detection methodologies.
Miller holds professional memberships with the British Psychological Society and European Association of Psychology and Law. Her current PhD research examines homicide suspect interviews, analyzing behavioral differences related to veracity and culpability.
As Year Tutor, she coordinates academic support for Level 5 psychology students and contributes to curriculum development in forensic psychology.
