Dianne Chambers

Dianne Chambers is a Professor in the Department of English at Elmhurst University, teaching courses in American literature, film studies, women writers, and fiction. She mentors future English teachers and delivers the annual methods class in English pedagogy.

• Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
• Focus on feminist interpretations of literature and collaborative teaching methodologies

Her research explores intersections of female roles, national identity, and educational leadership, including presentations on Chicago women’s clubs and challenges faced by new teachers. She authored the book Feminist Readings of Edith Wharton (Palgrave Macmillan).
