Diane Webber is a Professor at Curry College, affiliated with the Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL). She has over 20 years of experience in teaching and leadership roles across middle school, high school, and college levels, with a focus on reading/learning disabilities. She holds degrees from LeMoyne College (BA), Boston University (M.Ed.), and Lesley University (Ph.D.).
Research Interests: Dr. Webber specializes in metacognitive approaches to education, adaptive educational technologies, and strategies for students with learning differences. Her work explores the intersection of personality type, academic success, and the use of social networking to enhance social skills for students with learning disabilities.
Scientific Awards:
- Whiting Foundation Fellowship (supports travel for studying instructional quality abroad)
Contributions: She developed the online course "Connections to Learning" and contributes to college-wide initiatives on student learning supports. Dr. Webber has presented research globally and engaged in collaborative projects at institutions like the University of Bergen and Stockholm’s Metacognitive Memory Laboratory.
