Research Focus: Her work centers on vascular system development and hypoxia-driven mechanisms. Key areas include the role of Hypoxia Inducible Factor (HIF) and its ARNT subunit in embryonic vasculogenesis/angiogenesis, endothelial cell behavior under hypoxia, and HIF's influence on vascular smooth muscle cells and stem cell niches (e.g., bone marrow). She uses mouse embryonic stem cell models and in vivo studies to explore these processes.
External Contributions: Collaborates with institutions like The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania, extending her expertise in developmental biology and translational research.
