Dr. Diana M. Allen is a Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at Simon Fraser University. She specializes in hydrogeology, focusing on groundwater resource evaluation and climate change impacts. Her research includes studies on groundwater systems in mountainous and coastal regions, environmental isotopes, and aquifer-stream connectivity. She has supervised numerous graduate students and collaborates with institutions like the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS).
- Education: B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. from Carleton University (1986–1996)
- Key Research Areas: Climate change impacts on groundwater, water security risk assessment, and fractured rock hydrogeology.
Her work integrates field studies, numerical modeling, and interdisciplinary approaches to address challenges in water resource management. Current projects include vulnerability mapping of aquifers and assessing risks from extreme climate events.
