She holds an Honorary Research Fellow position at the Birkbeck Institute for the Study of Antisemitism (Birkbeck, University of London) and serves as a Research Associate in the Department of History at the University of Nottingham.
Her research focuses on the public reception of violent histories, particularly the Holocaust, and explores how qualitative methodologies can assess audience engagement with memorial projects. She has contributed to edited volumes like Performative Holocaust Commemoration in the 21st Century (Routledge, 2021) and Revisiting Holocaust Representation in the Post-Witness Era (Palgrave, 2015).
Diana's work also examines the impact of design choices in Holocaust exhibitions, performative commemoration practices, and artistic interventions in memory spaces. She has participated in projects such as the AHRC-funded study on 'Modes of Engagement' (University of Nottingham, 2021-2022) and a Swedish Research Council Early Career Fellowship (2015-2019). Her insights are shared via publications and events like the 2021 online workshop on 'Mobilising Memory through Immersive Technologies.'
