Diana Popescu-Sarry

Diana Popescu-Sarry is an Assistant Professor in Political Theory at the University of Nottingham, affiliated with the Rights Lab's Law and Policy programme. Her research focuses on discrimination theory, deliberative democracy, and complex injustices against women and minority groups.

Her current project advocates for extending legal anti-discrimination protections to survivors of human trafficking, modern slavery, and domestic violence. She explores the normative and empirical foundations for recognizing survivor status as a legal category, building on her prior work on protected characteristics and the Rights Lab's initiatives in translating survivor voices into policy.
