Mariana Crespi de Valldaura is a Research Fellow at the Rights Lab and a PhD student at the School of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Nottingham. Her work focuses on the role of faith-based organizations in anti-trafficking efforts and survivor care.

Her research explores intersections between faith-based initiatives and systemic responses to human trafficking, particularly through the lens of the Sisters Adoratrices' anti-sexual exploitation efforts. This work is supervised by Dr. Alison Gardner and Dr. Scott Pacey.
Mariana contributes to the Rights Lab’s Health and Communities Programme, advancing interdisciplinary solutions to modern slavery. Her background in social work and development studies informs her practice-oriented approach to survivor-centered care models.
