Lauren Eglen

Dr. Lauren Eglen is a Senior Research Fellow in Gender Justice at the Rights Lab, University of Nottingham. She contributes to the Law and Policy Programme, applying an intersectional feminist lens to research on modern slavery, human trafficking, and gender inequality.

• Key research interests: modern slavery survivor narratives, participatory research methods, feminist activism against VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls)
• Notable projects: Voices narrative database, forced marriage research, survivor leadership through participatory art
• Collaboration with Karma Nirvana to define honour-based abuse
