Dhillon Mahal

Dhillon Mahal is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the York Law School, University of York, teaching core legal subjects including Criminal Law, Tort Law, Contract Law, and Constitutional & Administrative Law to first and second-year undergraduates. Concurrently, they serve as a Research Associate to Dr. Jed Meers, focusing on legislative analysis and projects related to public administration, statutory duties, and pseudolaw.

Their research interests center on Constitutional Law and Administrative Law, with a focus on the Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Act 2022, pseudolaw movements, and legislative trends impacting vulnerable populations. Current projects include analyzing arbitration decisions, statutory duties for public officials, and 'freeman on/of the land' pseudolaw around council tax non-payment.
