معرفی
Dr. Dezerae Cox is a Lecturer in Cell & Molecular Bioscience and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Wollongong's Molecular Horizons Institute. Her NERVLAB research team investigates the role of endogenous retroviruses in neurodegeneration, particularly motor neuron disease, using affinity-directed proteomics and single-molecule super-resolution microscopy. She developed novel biosensors for proteostasis monitoring during her postdoctoral work at Cambridge and Melbourne.
She holds an NHMRC Investigator Grant and ARC DECRA for studying human endogenous retroviruses. Dr. Cox received the 2024 Vice Chancellor's Award for Emerging Researcher of the Year and coordinates the UOW Health & Medical Research Academy.
