Dennis Reidy

Dr. Dennis Reidy is an Associate Professor in Health Policy and Behavioral Sciences at Georgia State University's School of Public Health and Director for Community Engagement and Outreach for the Center for Research on Interpersonal Violence.

His research develops and evaluates interventions to prevent violence and associated outcomes including substance use, risky sexual behavior, and mental health problems. He investigates cross-cutting risk and protective factors to create prevention strategies with multi-outcome impacts. Prior to joining Georgia State, he spent eight years as a scientist in the CDC's Division of Violence Prevention.

He teaches courses in research methods, statistics, program evaluation, and measurement. His community engagement work connects research with violence prevention practice.
