Denise M. Rousseau is the H.J. Heinz II University Professor of Organizational Behavior and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University, holding dual appointments in the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy and the Tepper School of Business. She chairs the Health Care Policy and Management program and directs the Project on Evidence-Based Organizational Practices. A global leader in evidence-based management, Rousseau co-authored the widely adopted textbook *Evidence-Based Management* and founded the Evidence-Based Management Collaborative. Her research focuses on psychological contracts, worker well-being, organizational change, and governance.
Education: A.B., M.A., and Ph.D. in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley.
Research Interests: Evidence-based decision-making, human resource management, psychological contracts, organizational change, and multi-level organizational models. Her work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing ethical and effective organizational practices.
Awards: Two-time Academy of Management George Terry Award winner, Distinguished Scholar Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and honorary doctorates from Athens University and Tallinn Institute of Technology.
Professional Roles: Past President of the Academy of Management, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Organizational Behavior, and International Visiting Fellow at institutions including the University of Leeds and Nanyang Technological University.
