Denise Hewlett

Professor Denise Hewlett is an Honorary Visiting Professor at the Health Sciences University (HSU), holding a role within the Health Business School. With nearly 25 years of academic leadership, she has served as Head of the Business School at HSU and other institutions, founding and directing international research centers focused on business management, public policy, and sustainable development. Her research emphasizes applied, multidisciplinary approaches, including the impact of spatial settings on workforce wellbeing and place-based policy development.

She holds affiliations with the British Academy of Management (BAM), Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH), Landscape Institute (AMLI), Royal Geographic Society (FRGS), and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Her professional memberships include roles in international taskforces, where she has chaired key groups advancing global sustainable development agendas.
