Dena M. Roche

Dena M. Roche is a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She is also the founder and managing partner at O’Rielly & Roche LLP, a law firm specializing in professional responsibility, risk management, and law firm practice management. Her expertise includes advising legal professionals on law firm formation, transitions, and partnership matters.

Research interests focus on Legal Ethics, Professional Responsibility, and Law Firm Management. She contributes to the firm’s Partner Departure Law blog and serves as an expert witness on legal ethics issues.

Dena Roche was the past Chair and current Advisor to the California State Bar’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct (COPRAC) from 2021-2022, with six years of service. She is a certified mediator resolving business and law firm partnership disputes, and regularly presents at CLE conferences nationwide.
