Demis Quadri

Demis Quadri is a Professor of Research and Teaching in Physical Theatre, specializing in commedia dell'arte, physical theatre, and theatres of diversity. He has held significant research and service roles, including membership in the Swiss Institute in Rome (2006/07) and collaborations with institutions such as the Institute of Theatre Studies in Bern and the Haute École de Musique in Geneva.

• Education: Doctorate in Italian Language and Literature (University of Fribourg), Theatre Studies (University of Bern); MA in Italian Language and Literature, Romance Philology, Ethnology (University of Fribourg).

His research focuses on historical and contemporary aspects of physical theatre, with a particular emphasis on commedia dell'arte and inclusive performance practices. He contributed to the publication of seventeenth-century theatrical texts, earning recognition from the University of Vienna.
