Deborah Galle is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Pittsburgh’s Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. With dual American-Canadian citizenship, she holds an MFA from Pitt and focuses on narrative journalism, trans-national literatures, and science writing. Her career spans journalism, construction products, and higher education.
Education:
- MFA in Creative Writing from University of Pittsburgh (with award for skydiving certification narrative)
Research & Teaching: Specializes in composition pedagogy, integrating science and culture into courses like Science and Culture and Engineering Communication. Teaches at Pitt’s Public & Professional Writing Program and collaborates with the Swanson School of Engineering. Courses include transnational literature, business writing, and essay writing.
