Dawn M. Ciccarone, MS, OTR/L, CLVT is an Assistant Professor at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, part of Drexel University. Her clinical specialty focuses on Low Vision Rehabilitation and Geriatrics. She holds a BS in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University and an MS in Gerontology from Saint Joseph University.
Research Interests: Her work emphasizes improving quality of life for older adults through low vision rehabilitation strategies. She explores interdisciplinary approaches linking optometry, gerontology, and occupational therapy to address age-related visual impairments.
Professional Engagement: Presented at the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association (POTA) in 2015 on establishing effective low vision programs. Active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and POTA. Holds Certified Low Vision Therapist (CLVT) certification.
