Dr. Dawn Fichter is an Associate Professor and Clinical Program Administrator in the Undergraduate Nursing Program at Clarkson College. With over 20 years of nursing experience and 14 years in teaching, her professional focus centers on improving healthcare access and supporting future nurses. She holds a Doctor of Education in Public Health Policy and dual master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Nursing from Nebraska Methodist College and Clarkson College.

Research Interests: Dr. Fichter’s work emphasizes interprofessional education, social determinants of health, and pediatric cardiology care. She explores innovative teaching methods like digital games and simulations to enhance student competency and collaboration.
