David Wooff is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, University of Sunderland. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. His work focuses on STEM education, teacher training, and the role of technology in education.
Research Interests:Wooff investigates the cultural and historical foundations of design and technology education, the integration of Technology Enhanced Learning (QR codes, Augmented Reality), and the value of technology as a subject in school curricula. His research spans curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, and the social justice implications of STEM literacy.
Notable Contributions:Co-author of the Cambridge iGCSE Design and Technology textbook series (2016-2018) and organizer of the Edge Hill University Professional Practice Handbook (2014-2017). He has presented internationally on reimagining design education and pre-service teacher perceptions of STEM pedagogy.
