David Wise

David Wise is a Lecturer in Law at the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), affiliated with the School of Law and Society. He holds a BSc/LLB (Hons) from the University of Queensland. With over 10 years as a practicing lawyer, he operates his own legal practice on the Sunshine Coast and has prior experience working as a Federal Court associate and at Herbert Smith Freehills in Sydney/Brisbane. His research focuses on elder law, housing policy, and legal practice innovations. Professional memberships include the Queensland Law Society and the Suncoast Community Legal Service Inc.

Research interests emphasize legal solutions for aging populations and housing insecurity, evident in publications addressing retirement village legal issues and shared housing initiatives.
