David Welch is an Instructor of Classics at the Department of Modern Languages & Classics, University of Alabama. Holding a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin (2023) and an MA from the University of Kansas (2016), his research bridges classical antiquity and modern pedagogy. Key research areas include Premodern Language Pedagogy, Classical Receptions in Science Fiction, Roman Historiography, and The Roman Triumph.
