Dr. David Vawter is a Professor in Middle Level and Social Studies Education at the College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences, Winthrop University. He serves as the Teaching Fellows Programming Coordinator and has been actively involved in teacher preparation and professional development for 25 years at Winthrop.
- Education: Ph.D. from University of Virginia, M.Ed. from University of North Carolina-Charlotte, and B.S. from Oregon State University.
Dr. Vawter specializes in teacher education, focusing on middle school pedagogy, block scheduling, differentiation, brain-compatible teaching, and classroom management.
