Dr. David Tomkins is a Lecturer at the School of Law and Justice, University of Newcastle, Australia. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Oxford and has extensive academic and professional experience in constitutional and administrative law. Prior to his academic roles, he worked as a tipstaff and judge’s associate in New South Wales courts and engaged in research and policy work in Germany, the U.S., and New Zealand. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

He has supervised eight completed research projects and currently supervises one PhD candidate. His supervision focuses on constitutional challenges, legal reform, and eco-legal systems.
