Dr. David Sánchez Martín is a Full Professor at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) since 2021, affiliated with the Department of Physics and the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (IFISC, UIB-CSIC). He has been a visiting researcher at Indiana, Texas, California, Stanford, and ETH Zurich universities.
- PhD in Physics (2002, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid)
- Degree in Hispanic Philology (2014, UNED)
- Postdoctoral researcher at University of Geneva (2002-2004)
His research spans interdisciplinary physics, focusing on nanophysics, quantum thermodynamics, and linguistic variation. He has authored over 100 publications in international journals and delivered more than 60 conference presentations. He teaches courses such as Quantum Mechanics, Computational Social Sciences, and Information Theory.
Scientific contributions include work on mesoscopic systems, thermoelectrics, Kondo effect, and spintronics within quantum dots. He actively participates in the FISNANO and CSSA research groups.
