David Sánchez

David Sánchez is Full Professor at the Universitat de les Illes Balears, affiliated with the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (IFISC). He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2002) after undergraduate studies at the same institution. His career includes a Ramón y Cajal Fellowship and postdoctoral research at the University of Geneva.

Research spans quantum physics (thermoelectrics, quantum dots, mesoscopic systems) and quantitative linguistics (language variation, cultural analytics, digital humanities). His interdisciplinary approach applies complex systems theory to physical and sociolinguistic phenomena.
