David Sanders is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business, Saint Louis University, where he also serves as Program Director for the One-Year MBA Education. His expertise spans macro- and micro-economics, law and economics, and the economics of professional sports.
Education

Research Interests
Sanders investigates broad economic phenomena with a focus on policy-relevant questions in macro- and micro-economics. He also applies economic tools to legal institutions and to the business of professional sports, analyzing ticket markets, consumer behavior, and league strategies.
Selected Publications
His 2016 study in Sports Marketing Quarterly (co-authored with Rishe and Reese) pioneers a heterogeneous approach to understanding secondary-market pricing around college-football bowl games, highlighting differential consumer responses across market segments.

Professional & Community Engagement
Beyond academia, Sanders consults for Testing Algorithms LLC (2020–present) and has founded D&K Acquisitions (2013). He remains active in local youth sports as a volunteer coach and currently serves as Vice President of Fundraising for Staunton Elementary School in Fenton, Missouri.
