David Sahn

David E. Sahn is an International Professor of Economics at Cornell University, affiliated with both the Department of Economics and the Division of Nutritional Sciences. He holds additional roles as a Research Fellow at IZA (Bonn, Germany) and Senior Fellow at FERDI (France). With a Ph.D. from MIT (1984) and an MPH from the University of Michigan, his research focuses on poverty, malnutrition, disease, and human capital formation in developing countries. His work emphasizes policy integration with international organizations like the World Bank, African Development Bank, and UN agencies.

Key research areas include: the determinants of human capital across life stages, gender disparities in education and labor markets, and the impact of economic policies on household welfare.
