David Qian is a Lecturer in Management at the School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. He holds a doctorate in Business Management from Monash University and RMIT University, completed in 2005. Prior to his current role, he served as Undergraduate Programme Director (2008–2012) and Academic Director of Collaborative Articulation Programs (2012–2019). His research focuses on teaching methodologies, organizational behavior, and cultural studies, with a particular emphasis on service innovation in hospitality and healthcare sectors.

His research interests span organizational behavior, cross-cultural studies, and strategic management. He has contributed to studies on service innovation in hospitality, health equity, and board diversity’s impact on financial performance.
