David Naff serves as Assistant Professor in Foundations of Education, Director of the Metropolitan Educational Research Consortium (MERC), and Faculty Director of Vertically Integrated Projects at Virginia Commonwealth University. His research examines knowledge mobilization in K-12 partnerships, equitable access to advanced coursework, and support systems for first-generation college students.
Naff hosts MERC's Abstract podcast and coordinates the annual MERC Conference. As a former high school counselor, he brings practical experience to his work on the Virginia Advisory Council for Gifted Education.
