Paul C. Harris, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counseling and Special Education at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Education. His research focuses on youth development through three interconnected lines: analyzing intersectional identities in schooling experiences, investigating multidimensional self-development in athletes, and developing school counselor training strategies for K-12 student development. He holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Maryland.
Research Interests
Dr. Harris explores K-12 student development, athlete wellness, and school counselor efficacy through critical sociocultural frameworks. His work emphasizes equity-focused interventions that address systemic barriers in educational environments.
