David Moulaee Conradsson is a Senior Lecturer (Docent) and registered physiotherapist at Karolinska Institutet's Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, where he leads the REACH research group focused on digital treatment and prevention. He maintains dual roles in academia and clinical practice, serving as a physiotherapist at Karolinska University Hospital while directing the uMOVE core facility's operational team.
His educational background includes a PhD in Medical Sciences (2016), Master's in Medical Science (2014), and Bachelor's in Physiotherapy (2008), all from Karolinska Institutet, followed by postdoctoral training at McGill University's Human Brain Control of Locomotion Lab. Conradsson specializes in developing mHealth interventions for physical activity promotion in neurological conditions, particularly stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA).
Research trends reveal his focus on equitable digital health solutions through stakeholder-collaborative development of personalized mHealth tools, with recent publications emphasizing feasibility studies, measurement consensus, and pandemic-era telerehabilitation adoption. His work bridges clinical practice with digital innovation to address secondary prevention needs.
As an educator, he leads the advanced course 'Remote Physiotherapy – A Physiotherapeutic Perspective' and supervises students across bachelor's to PhD levels, with teaching expertise in digital physiotherapy assessment methods. His global health collaborations with Stellenbosch University examine rehabilitation outcomes across healthcare systems.
Current projects include multicenter adaptive interventions evaluating cost-effectiveness of 'One size fits no one' mHealth solutions for stroke/TIA patients, funded by the Swedish Research Council and VINNOVA. His REACH group operates through cross-sectoral partnerships with healthcare, industry, and patient communities to ensure intervention relevance and accessibility.
