David Mauskop is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Swarthmore College. He currently teaches CS 21 and CS 31 alongside colleagues Lila Fontes, Lisa Meeden, Ameet Soni, and Rich Wicentowski. His academic background includes a Master's in Machine Learning from Columbia University, where he researched frame-semantic parsing under Owen Rambow and taught Java programming with John Kender. He holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Princeton University, where he studied balanced binary search trees with Bob Tarjan and TA'ed a course for non-majors titled 'Computers in our World' with Brian Kernighan.
Research interests span three core areas: machine learning methodologies, natural language processing applications, and functional programming language design. His work bridges theoretical computer science with practical educational outreach, reflecting both technical and pedagogical expertise.
