David Mathieu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication and Arts at Roskilde University, Denmark, and a core member of the Journalism and Democracy Centre for Digital Citizenship. Since 2017, he has chaired the Audience & Reception Studies section of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA), focusing on communication, journalism, and democratic practices in datafied societies.
