معرفی
Professor David Mann is a faculty member in the Department of Life Sciences at Imperial College London, affiliated with the Faculty of Natural Sciences. His research focuses on applying chemical biology techniques to cancer models, targeting aberrant signaling enzymes for therapeutic intervention. He leads the Institute of Chemical Biology and supervises students in the CDT in Chemical Biology program. His work emphasizes generating chemical probes for oncogenes and tumor suppressors to advance drug development.
Key research areas include covalent fragment screening, enzyme inhibition mechanisms, and drug discovery methodologies. Collaborations involve the Membrane Receptor Network and Molecular mechanisms of disease initiatives. His articles highlight innovations in covalent ligand design, G-quadruplex DNA dynamics, and antiviral protease inhibitors.
Professor Mann’s contributions span chemical biology, pharmacology, and oncology, with a focus on translating molecular insights into clinical applications. His interdisciplinary approach integrates synthetic chemistry, biochemistry, and cell biology to address unmet therapeutic needs in cancer and infectious diseases.
