David M. Feldser is an Associate Professor of Cancer Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, and an Investigator at the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute. His research focuses on tumor progression and metastasis using genetically engineered mouse models.
- B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Juniata College (1998)
- Ph.D. in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (2007)
Research interests include:
- Cyclophilin-assisted programmed cell death
- Genotype-dependent immune surveillance
- Regulation of cell state plasticity
- Cancer gene dependencies
His lab specializes in mouse modeling of lung cancer, tumor suppressor mechanisms, and tumor microenvironment interactions. Recent work explores ER-phagy in p53-induced necrosis and chromatin regulators like SETD2 in KRAS-driven tumors.
Lab members include graduate students Keren Adler, Amy Gladstein, and Katie Doerig, along with postdoc Maria Solares. Contact: dfeldser@upenn.edu, 421 Curie Blvd., Philadelphia, PA.
