David Johnston is a Professor at the Centre for Health Economics, Monash Business School, Monash University. His research focuses on health economics, mental health, resilience, and the socioeconomic impacts of environmental factors. He leads/facilitates major projects such as 'Fire to Flourish' (Black Summer Bushfire recovery), 'Mental Healthcare Inequity', and studies on climate and labor dynamics. Previously, he held roles at Queensland University of Technology and the University of Melbourne, completing his PhD in Economics in 2007.
