David Frydrych is an Associate Professor of Law at Michigan State University College of Law, where he joined in 2025. He teaches Trusts & Estates and Property. Previously, he served as a Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Associate Professor) at Monash University’s Faculty of Law in Melbourne, Australia.
His research spans rights, jurisprudence, and trusts, with jurisprudential work emphasizing rights and legal realism. His trusts law expertise includes trustees’ rights, commercial/business trusts, and international discretionary trust structures. Key publications include the monograph The Architecture of Rights: Models and Theories (Palgrave, 2021) and a forthcoming 2025 monograph on trustees’ indemnity rights.
David holds memberships in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) as a full academic member (TEP).
