David Vitale is an Associate Professor at the University of Warwick's School of Law, co-director of the Centre for Constitutions in Context (CCC), and a leading scholar in constitutional law, administrative law, and social rights. His work focuses on public trust in government, judicial enforcement of social rights, and comparative constitutional frameworks. He has published extensively, including a monograph Trust, Courts and Social Rights (Cambridge University Press, 2024), which proposes a trust-based framework for social rights enforcement. Vitale leads the Open Constitutional Democracy project, funded by ESRC, SSHRC, and SNSF, examining deliberation's role in constitutional democracies. His interdisciplinary research integrates psychology, sociology, and political theory.
Key grants: Principal Investigator for the 3-year Trans-Atlantic Platform grant (2022–2025). Collaborates with institutions across the UK, Canada, and Switzerland. Advises on research ethics and public law reforms. Active in academic debates, with recent talks at Oxford, Toronto, and Tilburg Universities.
