معرفی
David Eisner is the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Professor of Cardiac Physiology at the University of Manchester's Division of Cardiovascular Sciences. He holds a B.A. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a D.Phil. in Physiology from the University of Oxford. His career includes roles as a Lecturer and Wellcome Trust Senior Lecturer at University College London (1980–1990) and Professor of Veterinary Biology at the University of Liverpool (1990–1999).
Research Focus: Eisner’s work centers on understanding mechanisms regulating cardiac contraction in health and disease, particularly calcium signaling and sarcoplasmic reticulum function. His studies investigate how calcium dynamics contribute to arrhythmias and heart failure, with recent emphasis on diastolic calcium regulation.
