J. David Deal is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Design at Purdue University, affiliated with the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Eastern New Mexico University.

As a seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience, he has held leadership roles in design studios, advertising agencies, and in-house design departments, currently maintaining a design consultancy for select clients.
