معرفی
David De Micheli is an Assistant Professor in both the Department of Political Science and Ethnic Studies at the University of Utah, where he has worked since July 2020. Previously, he served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Tulane University's Center for Inter-American Policy and Research (2019-2020). His research focuses on comparative politics, particularly identity formation, inequality, citizenship, and social policy in Latin America.
De Micheli’s work spans multiple subfields: racial reclassification dynamics in Brazil, corruption’s impact on democratic trust, educational policy feedback effects, and fear of crime in low-crime settings. His 2024 Cambridge University Press book Back to Black received top accolades from LASA and APSA. Recent publications in World Politics, Comparative Political Studies, and Latin American Politics and Society reflect methodological diversity through qualitative interviews, panel datasets, and survey experiments.
