Bernard L. Fraga is the Ann and Michael Hankin Distinguished Professor in the Department of Political Science at Emory University, specializing in American elections, racial/ethnic politics, voter turnout, and the impact of election laws. He serves as the faculty coordinator of the Latinx Studies Initiative.

His award-winning 2018 book The Turnout Gap: Race, Ethnicity, and Political Inequality in a Diversifying America examines racial/ethnic disparities in voting participation from the 1800s to present.
