Alejandro de la Fuente is the Robert Woods Bliss Professor of Latin American History and Economics and Professor of African and African American Studies and History at Harvard University. He directs the Afro-Latin American Research Institute and co-chairs the Cuban Studies Program at Harvard. His work spans history, law, race relations, and Atlantic and Caribbean studies.
Research Interests: Professor de la Fuente focuses on comparative slavery and race relations, examining how legal frameworks, economic systems, and cultural expressions have shaped racial inequality in the Atlantic world.
