David Chappell is a Professor in the Department of History at the University of Oklahoma. His research focuses on human rights, African-American history, economic history, and intellectual history, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of social movements and institutional change. He teaches courses in economic history, intellectual history, and constitutional history, including the US Presidency.
