David Adamcyk is a Canadian composer, sound artist, and electronic musician currently serving on the composition faculty at Manhattan School of Music since 2015. He also teaches sound recording, 20th and 21st-century music analysis, live sound, and electronic music at Columbia University's Computer Music Center. As technical director of Talea Ensemble, Adamcyk bridges the worlds of academic instruction and professional performance in contemporary music.
Adamcyk holds a doctorate in composition from McGill University and was a SSHRC funded postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University's Computer Music Center. His academic journey includes participation in IRCAM's cursus program, further solidifying his expertise in music technology and electronic composition.
