David A. Zaharoff

David A. Zaharoff, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the UNC School of Medicine, affiliated with the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research focuses on biomaterials-based strategies for local delivery of cancer immunotherapies, bridging interdisciplinary and translational approaches.

• Education: NIH Predoctoral Fellow (Duke University, 2002), Edmund James Scholar (University of Illinois, 1997).

Research Interests:
Dr. Zaharoff pioneers biomaterials for targeted cancer immunotherapy delivery, integrating engineering and biomedical disciplines to enhance therapeutic efficacy.
