Daryl Zizwe Poe is a Professor in the Department of History, Political Science, Philosophy and Religion at Lincoln University since 2001. He has also evaluated dissertations for Howard University, Temple University, and the Graduate College of Union Institute and University.
- Ph.D. and MA in Africanology (African-American Studies) from Temple University
- BA in Afro-American Studies and MA in Social Sciences Interdisciplinary from San Jose State University
His research focuses on Pan-Africanism, African liberation movements, and historical analysis of higher education policies affecting Black students. His work includes a book on Kwame Nkrumah's contributions to Pan-Africanism, published by Routledge (2009) and the University of Sankore Press.
He has served as Chairperson of the Lincoln University Faculty Council (2017-18), Director of the Horace Mann Bond Honors Program (2014-21), and Chairperson of the Promotion, Tenure, and Severance Committee. Additionally, he was an on-screen consultant for the History Channel's The Spanish American War: First Intervention.
